The Junior Club (Ages 9-13)
Our junior sessions are for children from ages 9 to 13 (aged 14-17? see Youth Members below)
We offer an introduction to athletics through weekly run-jump-throw sessions. These are fun-based and suitable for children with a range of abilities and needs.
How does it work?
The junior club currently runs from 7 - 8 on Monday evenings, at Linlithgow Academy.
We aim to work outdoors whenever possible.
The club costs £10 per month, paid by standing order. There are reductions for two or more children in the same family. Applicants with a low income are welcome to contact the Membership Secretary to discuss reduced membership fees.
If your child is interested in joining the Junior Club, please contact our Membership Secretary. If we can’t offer a place immediately, we can add you to our waiting list.
YOUTH Members (Ages 14-17)
Budding athletes aged 14-17 are too old for the junior club, however they can join in with the adults at our coached training sessions, provided that parental consent has been provided.
The coached sessions are held on Tuesdays at Craigswood Sports Centre, Livingston on the running track at 1800, the track is available from 1745 for warm up.
If you are aged 14-17 and interested in attending these sessions, get in touch for more information.
Child safeguarding AND PROTECTION
Our training sessions are always supervised by coaches with Scottish Athletics accreditation who have undertaken child safeguarding and protection training.
All coaches/volunteers have current PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups) membership.
The welfare, safeguarding and protection of children is at the heart of what we do and we comply with current guidance from Scottish Athletics.
The Club has adopted the Scottish Athletics Child Protection Policy.
